A tranquil ocean beneath a sky filled with golden, warm-toned clouds

PRACTICE

Physiological sigh

Two short inhales through the nose, then one long, slow exhale through the mouth.

HOW TO PRACTICE

  1. Take a normal breath in through your nose.
  2. At the top of that breath, take a second, shorter sip of air on top of it.
  3. Let out a long, slow breath through your mouth.
  4. Repeat 2 to 5 times, noticing your heart rate settle.
